Recovery training and self-help: handbook for program administrators.. [Fred Zackon; Peter Finn; Regina F Berg; National Institute on Drug Abuse. Office of Policy and External Affairs. Recovery Training and Self Help is an outpatient, group aftercare modality that features 6 months of two weekly formal meetings, regular weekend recre- ational activities and an ex-addict support.

McAuliffe WE, Ch'ien JM. Recovery Training and Self Help (RTSH) is a new form of psychosocial treatment for drug addiction. Developed as an outpatient group aftercare modality for opiate addicts in New England and Hong Kong, it significantly reduced the probability of relapse to illicit opiates and helped unemployed subjects find work. Self-Management And Recovery Training (SMART) is a global community of mutual-support groups. At meetings, participants help one another resolve problems with any addiction (to drugs or alcohol or to activities such as gambling or over-eating). The book acts as a recovery resource for individuals who have left violent relationships, helping them remove the guilt, shame and blame that can surround abuse. The Recovery Toolkit takes the reader on a journey that is part discovery, part guidance, and is based on the successful week group programme of the same name, also created by Sue. The item Recovery training and self-help: in-service training curriculum, National Institute on Drug Abuse represents a specific, individual, material embodiment of a distinct intellectual or artistic creation found in Indiana State Library.
